Sangiovese 2024

$35.00

750mL. 12.7% ALC/VOL. Approximately 7.5 Standard drinks. Vegan. Contains minimal sulphites.

Our first foray into Sangiovese, crafted in 2024 from young plantings at Kennedy’s Vineyard in Colbinabbin, Heathcote. Bright, expressive, and quietly confident, this wine has been patiently resting before release, allowing its character to fully unfurl. It shows fine, chalky tannins, a vibrant, medium-bodied frame, and a lingering, richly savoury finish that speaks to both site and variety.

Fermented on skins for two weeks, followed by an early racking, then matured in seasoned French oak for 15 months. Carefully monitored throughout its élevage, it was bottled at just the right moment to capture the purity of fruit and the distinctive imprint of the vineyard.

Aromatics

Lifted notes of sour cherry, wild strawberry and red plum and earthy spice

Palate

medium-bodied and finely structured, with silky, chalky tannins and bright, mouthwatering acidity, carrying nuances of fennel seed and tomato leaf through to a long, savoury close.
